The boys, 16 and 14 years old, were charged with felony burglary and injury to a police animal. They are accused of letting loose 25 horses at the mounted patrol facility at the South Shore Cultural Center in the 7000-block of S. South Shore Drive.
One horse was sprayed with a fire extinguisher. Another suffered a leg injury.
