The Honda Accord was speeding when the woman who was driving lost control, according to police.
The car left the highway and hit the crash barrels at the Harlem Avenue exit, police said.
The identities of the 25-year-old woman and her 24-year-old passenger have not been released. Both were wearing seat belts.
An autopsy will determine if drugs or alcohol were involved.
