The hole opened on the 9600 block of South Houston after a torrential rain storm in April.
Three cars were swallowed.
One of them belonged to Mirko Krivokuca.
He claims the city didn't properly maintain the street and has filed a lawsuit seeking damages.
The city says the sinkhole was created when a water main broke.
