Dozens of people lined up outside the store on the 4600-block of West Diversey.
Mayor Rahm Emanuel and 31st Ward Alderman Ray Suarez were on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony.
The store sells clothing, sporting goods along with groceries and other items.
