Police and motorcyclists escorted the remains of Corporal Donald MacLean to a funeral home in northwest suburban McHenry.
He was listed as missing in action in December 1950.
His remains were recently identified.
MacLean's twin sister Donna described how it feels to finally have some answers.
"I wouldn't say a relief. But at least now I know this is it. Accept it and go on. That's all you can do," said Donna Mitchell, sister.
Mitchell says her brother was just 17 when he joined the Army.
He will be laid to rest on Saturday.
