Train 402 struck a pedestrian at the 80th Avenue station in Tinley Park around 6 a.m. That train, scheduled to arrive in Chicago at 6:40 a.m., was annulled, and passengers were taken off the train.
Trains following it were eventually allowed to pass on the opposite track. Trains in both directions were delayed as the investigation continued.
80th Avenue was also closed between 179th and 183rd for the investigation.
