The president of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra is talking about her decision to take the job heading the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.

Deborah Rutter has worked with the symphony for 10 years and will leave in 6 months.

"At the Kennedy Center we have the opportunity to make a really big difference, both for the art and the artist and also making a statement about the importance of culture in our society," said Rutter.

Rutter says she's better prepared for her new challenge because of what she's learned from colleagues here.
