Child abduction attempt in Grand Crossing prompts warning

Police are warning people in Chicago's Grand Crossing neighborhood to be on the lookout after an attempted child abduction.

Police say a man tried to force a 15-year-old girl into the lot of a nearby business.

It happened in the 7400 block of South Greenwood Avenue Wednesday afternoon.

The teenager managed to free herself.

Police remind residents to report any suspicious activities. Children are urged to never walk alone.
