Richard Vanecko has served his 60-day sentence for involuntary manslaughter.

The nephew of former mayor Richard Daley was released from the McHenry County Jail on Monday evening.

Vanecko was sentenced to 60 days after pleading guilty for throwing a punch that killed David Koschman back in 2004.

He'll now serve 60 days home confinement and 30 months on probation.

There was controversy around the case, but a special prosecutor's report found no political clout influenced the investigation.
