Two teens charged in Lakeview armed robbery

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 17-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl are charged with felonies in a Lakeview armed robbery, Chicago police say.

According to police, a 48-year-old man was approached in the 500-block of West Addison by the two teenagers around 11: 45 p.m. Saturday. Police say the boy used a fake handgun as they demanded property, and both teens fled with the victim's cash and cell phone.

Police say officers responding to the call of a robbery in progress found the teens in the 3700-block of North Pine Grove Avenue with the stolen items and fake handgun. Both are charged with one felony count of armed robbery.
