AURORA, Ill. (WLS) -- The Aurora Fire Department hosted a roundtable discussion on Friday about the dangers of railroad oil tankers.
U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin joined others to discuss actions to strengthen tank cars and prevent derailments, such as one that killed dozens of people in Quebec, Canada, in 2013.
Durbin highlighted new legislation that requires tougher safety standards for rail cars, but he says much more still needs to be done.
