Father charged in killing of 2-month old baby boy

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man has been charged in the murder of his 2-month old son after the baby boy was found dead in an Ashburn home, police said.

Brandon Holman, 34, has been charged with first degree murder after police found 2-month Bryson Holman dead inside a home in the 3200-block of 83rd place, police said.

At about noon Saturday, Chicago police went to the home after a call about an unresponsive baby. The child had injuries typical of abuse, officials said.

The manner of death was ruled homicide, according to the medical examiner's office.

A court hearing is set for Tuesday.
