DETROIT (WLS) -- The ABC7 I-Team reports former Chicago Public Schools CEO Barbara Byrd-Bennett is continuing to cooperate with the government, according to federal prosecutors and her defense attorneys.
Byrd-Bennett pleaded guilty to a scheme that steered millions in no-bid contracts to education firms for kickbacks during her tenure with CPS.
Court documents obtained by the I-Team say that because of ongoing cases against her co-defendants, a court hearing that was scheduled for this week has been moved to March.
