PEMBERTON TWP., N.J. -- Burlington County officials are on the scene investigating after a body was found in a clothing bin in Pemberton Township, New Jersey.

The discovery was reported around 2 p.m. in the parking lot of a local convenience store.

Police said at least two people saw a body dangling from a Planet Aid donation box. It appeared the man's head was stuck in the top opening.

A witness posted her discovery on a Browns Mills Facebook page.

When they arrived, police said it was clear the man was dead.

"The box door is really, really small so if you put your head in there, of course, it's gonna get stuck," said Danielle Cruse of Pemberton.

While police waited for the medical examiner to arrive, they loaded the victim's bike in a police cruiser.

Police said the victim may have been a transient looking for clothes, and this may not have been the first time he tried going into the donation box.
