Wonder Lake man faces 16 charges for sex crimes, police say

WONDER LAKE, Ill. (WLS) -- A 21-year-old man is charged with 16 sex crimes against minors after an investigation involving Wonder Lake and Crystal Lake police, officials said.

Brian Tiedemann was arrested after a Wonder Lake police investigation following a report of possible sexual abuse to a juvenile, police said.

After originally naming Tiedemann as a person of interest, Wonder Lake police received additional information on Jan. 22 from Crystal Lake police that Tiedemann may also be a person of interest in a sexual abuse case there, police said.

Following further investigation, Tiedemann was arrested and charged with 11 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and five counts of predatory criminal sexual assault.

His bond was set at $750,000.
