CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Better Business Bureau is warning eBay users about a scam to redirect them to fraudulent websites in order to steal their information.

The BBB says fake eBay listings are being used to redirect shoppers to fraudulent, lookalike websites where hackers steal people's eBay passwords. The BBB advises eBay shoppers to check the URL of the website in the browser bar and to look for a secure connection with a web address that begins with HTTPS and has a lock icon.

Finally, the BBB says to be be wary of listings that have significantly lower prices than those listed elsewhere.
