Pedestrian struck and killed in Lakeview

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police say a 69-year-old woman was struck and killed while crossing the street just after 6 a.m. in the intersection of Diversey and Broadway in Lakeview.

The driver stopped and called police and stayed on the scene until emergency crews arrived, according to police. The victim was transported to Illinois Masonic where she died.
