Vehicle catches fire on outbound I-55 near County Line Road

BURR RIDGE, Ill. (WLS) -- A vehicle burst into flames on the outbound Stevenson Expressway (I-55) near County Line Road.

The driver was standing outside the vehicle when emergency crews responded around 6 a.m. Monday. They were able to extinguish the fire shortly after arriving at the scene. The left lanes were blocked while crews worked, but all lanes are back open.

There were no injuries reported.
