Cardinal George attends Ramadan meal

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Francis Cardinal George joined members of the Chicago area's Muslim community for what has become a tradition during the month of Ramadan.

The Cardinal attended an iftar dinner, the meal after sunset when Muslims break the fast.

The dinner was hosted by the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago and the Downtown Islamic Center.

Organizers say this is part of an ongoing dialogue between the two faiths.
