CHICAGO -- Chicago's rising star in the music industry, Chance the Rapper, is back - fresh off his national performance on Saturday Night Live.

Chicago's rising star in the music industry, Chance the Rapper, is back - fresh off his national performance on Saturday Night Live.

Chance was inspired by a project in Detroit called the Empowerment Plan.

A woman named Veronika Scott came up with the idea to make coats for the homeless that transform into sleeping bags. She set up a factory to make the coats. When handing them out, one person said to her, "We need more than coats. We need jobs."

So Veronika decided that every person working to make the coats would be women who were in shelters.

Chance wants everyone to go to www.warmestwinterchicago.com to sponsor a coat for a homeless person in Chicago for $100.

The site will be live for four weeks. He wants to have 1,000 sponsors by the end of the four weeks. We want our viewers to pitch in and help beat that goal!
