CHICAGO (WLS) -- Despite the warm weather, Saturday marks the beginning of the end of the recreational boating season in Chicago.

That means the bridges over the Chicago River are going up so that boats can come in off the lake.

Each year in the spring and fall the bridges are raised sequentially, one at a time, to accommodate boats traveling to and from their storage yards.
