CHICAGO (WLS) -- All lanes of the outbound Chicago Skyway were shut down for several hours at the Dan Ryan Expressway Tuesday evening due to a truck fire, officials said.

The lanes were reopened just before 10 p.m. Tuesday.

There were major back-ups on the southbound Dan Ryan as well as the ramp to the Skyway.

The fire broke out at about 7 p.m. No one was injured, but there is extensive clean up.

Some inbound lanes have also been impacted by clean-up operations.

The semi-truck was carrying new furniture and it all had to be unloaded to put out the fire.
