A police officer is being heralded as a hero after he saved the life of a 2-month-old baby last month.
In late September, veteran Georgia police officer Kenneth Knox was called to help a choking child. When he arrived on the scene, Officer Knox said little Ma'Yavi Parham wasn't breathing and had turned blue. Her parents told him they had tried CPR without any luck.
"I did reverse CPR and was able to suck the cereal out of her throat and she began breathing again," Knox said. "Out of my 25 years being a cop this is my greatest and most profound accomplishment and it made every second of those 25 years worth it all. I am forever humbled and changed by this. Little Miss Parham will forever be a part of my life," Officer Kenneth Knox wrote.
Now, he says little Ma'Yavi's parents have asked him to be her godfather.
