NASA scientist talks about The Great Solar Eclipse

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Great Solar Eclipse is happening Monday, and it's one of the most exciting and anticipated solar events in decades.

Illinois will be a hot spot for viewing, with Carbondale being in the path of totality.

Scientist Yari Collado-Vega from Nasa's Space Flight Center in Maryland stopped by ABC7 on Wedneday to talk about what we can expect Monday and the safest way to enjoy the eclipse.
