CHICAGO (WLS) -- An autopsy will be performed Monday on a Cook County Jail inmate who died at a nearby hospital.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed 20-year-old Angel Cruz was pronounced dead at 4:08 a.m. Sunday at St. Anthony Hospital.

Cruz was booked five days ago. He was being held on attempted murder charges.

The Cook County Sheriff's Office said there were no apparent signs of foul play and that he was not involved in any incidents at the jail.
