5 critically hurt in Pilsen crash

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Five people were critically injured in a vehicle crash in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood just after midnight Sunday.

The crash happened near South Damen and West 18th Street.

Firefighters said a car ran a red light and slammed into an sports-utility vehicle, knocking it on its side.

The car then smashed into a tree.

Everyone was taken to the hospital in serious to critical condition.
