Red Line rider injured when leg gets stuck between train, platform

CHICAGO (WLS) -- CTA Red Line trains heading to 95th/Dan Ryan were briefly rerouted to the elevated tracks between Fullerton and Cermak-Chinatown after a person was injured at Clark/Division.



Emergency crews responded around 8 a.m. Wednesday to the subway station in the 1200-block of North Clark Street after a person's leg got stuck between the platform and a train.



Firefighters freed the person's leg and transported them to the hospital.



Red Line trains resumed service via the subway around 8:30 a.m. with substantial delays.
