CTA Yellow Line to resume service Oct. 30

SKOKIE, Ill. (WLS) -- Good news for commuters from the northern suburbs.

The CTA yellow line will resume service on Oct. 30 after weeks of shutdown due to a construction mistake at a wastewater treatment plant in Skokie.

A crane working at the plant caused the track embankment to collapse.

The rebuilding of the embankment is finished. Now crews are testing the tracks and performing inspects from now until the end of the month.
