CHICAGO (WLS) -- The city wants to demolish not only the building where Chicago firefighter Dan Capuano died last month, but also the building next door.
That building, near 92nd and Baltimore, houses a packaging plant and on Wednesday, the city shut it down. Inspectors said they found tons of ammonia in the basement.
Capuano died while battling a fire at the neighboring warehouse. Investigators say if flames from the warehouse reached the packaging plant, things could have been much worse.
