CHICAGO (WLS) -- Famed cellist Yo-Yo Ma and a renowned soprano Renee Fleming have joined a new effort to bring the arts to Chicago Public School students.

Ma and Fleming are honorary co-chairs for "Be Creative: The Campaign for Creative Schools."

The goal is to raise $38 million to put musical instruments, paint brushes and cameras in the hands of all CPS students.

Officials say the campaign has already raised $11 million dollars.
