ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. (WLS) -- This week, we feature Elk Grove High School on ABC7's Friday Flyover, celebrating high school sports!
The Grenadiers will take on the Prospect High School Knights at home Friday night. Varsity kicks off at 7:30 p.m.

-Elk Grove won the 2016 IHSA Best Mascot Contest.
-Elk Grove is ranked the 28th best high school in US News & World Report in the state of Illinois.
-Elk Grove has won the State Cheerleading competition five times.
-The marching band has won numerous accolades at the state level and has grown to more than 100 members from just 25 members 10 years ago. They were chosen to represent Illinois in the 2016 National Independence Day Parade in Washington D.C.
-The Elk Grove Nation School Spirit Section is consistently recognized as one of the best in the state.
-Elk Grove's very own Ken Grams is a Hall of Fame softball coach and has announced every single football game in the school's 50-year history.
