Busy weekend in Chicago
For those wanting to avoid the crowds and heavy traffic, you might want to avoid the whole city.

The big draw in Chicago this weekend is air and water show, but that is just part of the city's busy schedule.

The Chicago Air & Water Show is expected to bring two million people into the city on Saturday and Sunday.

For those not interested in planes, there are plenty of other options for entertainment and food, from pasta to spumoni.

The Crosstown Classic will be at U.S. Cellular Field on Saturday and Sunday. In Little Italy, Taylor Street is being taken over by Festa Italiana through Sunday.

"I'd rather eat cannoli than watch jet planes," said John Bettridge.

To ease commuting, CTA and Metra are adding extra service on the city's rail and bus lines, as well as shuttles to the lakeshore.

For those wanting to avoid the crowds and heavy traffic, you might want to avoid the whole city. There are plenty of events in the suburbs.

In Arlington Park, it's the biggest day of the year with the 32nd running of the Arlington Million. In Naperville, the Citygate Center will host the Naperville Wine Festival. There is so much to do that some people are doubling up.

Felicia burns was at the Cub-Sox game on Friday and plans to be at the lakefront tomorrow.

"Air and water show.. Wear both of these again." Burns said.

And then there are those plan to be nowhere near any of these events.

"I have kids birthday parties," said Dale Schwer. "Children come first."
