Malcolm London is a performer, educator, activist and poet. Born and raised in the Austin neighborhood, he attended Lincoln Park High School, and saw the great disparity between his high school life and his neighborhood.

He found his voice through spoken word poetry at the "Louder Than a Bomb" event in 2011, which he won. Since then he has become a voice for his generation, and has stood up against violence, even getting arrested at a Laquan McDonald protest. He is good friends with Chance the Rapper, and his poetry was selected for a TED Talks session, and did a TED Talk himself about his experience in high school. He is coming out with a new album titled "Opia" and he is here to perform the title track, and talk with WCL about his journey.
