FranklyHANK: 'Game of Thrones,' 'Lady X: The Musical,' & 'The Golden Girls'

CHICAGO -- FranklyHANK stopped by to talk about what's happening in Chicago.

Fans are eagerly anticipating the return of "Game of Thrones" to HBO in July. Last week, we learned that four spin-offs are on the work, and now we are learning there are actually five from author George R.R. Martin. Martin says all five will be prequels, but stresses that doesn't mean all five will be made into series. HBO may only pick up one or two or none. Although since GOT is HBO's highest rated show, I find that unlikely. Here's looking forward to more games. Meanwhile, he's the teaser for Season 7 coming July 17.

Hell In A Handbag Productions has a rock-solid hit with "Lady X: The Musical" playing at Mary's Attic in Andersonville. The show is set in the 30's or 40's and features seedy nightclubs, gangsters and loose women (some of whom are in drag). Funny songs, intentional over-the-top acting, great one-liners, and enough bawdy humor to make you do a spit-take. Tickets start at $26, cheaper if you bring a group of 10 or more. Definitely a fun show (and with a bar at the back of the theater what more could you ask for). Extended through June 17. Tickets at

Grab some cheesecake and head out to the lania, "The Golden Girls" are back and with a board game. They are the latest subject of the popular Hasbro murder-mystery game, "Clue." However, there is no murder, just mystery. "Who ate the last piece of cheesecake?" I'm totally serious here. The Miami home is all mapped out, albeit not like the show, but still one must solve the mystery and tell us which Golden Girl stole the cheesecake, what room it happened in and what was left at the scene. No release date yet, but the game will sell for $39.99 at retailers everywhere.
