The "Beauty and the Beast" character -- best known for his courtship of the heroine Belle and for the song "Gaston" that emphasizes his masculinity -- now spends his days at Disney parks insulting male tourists and flirting with females, so he's not exactly someone audiences like to root for.
When he is challenged to a pushup contest, though, you can't help but be a little impressed at the results. He starts out at a much faster pace than the challenger. The best moment comes when Gaston asks the man if he "needs a hand" and reaches a hand out, continuing his pushups with one arm. The man tries to mimic him, but it takes a lot of effort.
No one goes viral like Gaston. The video above has well over 2 million views in just a few days. In another recent video, the character was told off by a little girl at Disney World in a cute moment that was widely shared, so he was probably ecstatic at the chance to show off this time.
The uploader of the video, Blake Platt, said he shared this video of his brother in hopes it would make someone laugh.
"One of our goals every time we enter is to make someone's day, even if it's just one person," he wrote of visiting the Disney parks. "Hopefully we've been able to do that on a little larger scale; and, hopefully again, in a way of which Walt would be proud."
