3,000 flags placed on Niles school lawn in honor of fallen troops

NILES, Ill. (WLS) -- Three thousand American flags now line the lawn at Notre Dame College Prep in north suburban Niles.

Students and staff spent Sunday paying tribute to fallen troops and their families, ahead of the July 4 holiday.

The flags will be flying at the high school until next Monday.
