MIAMI BEACH, FL (WLS) -- A Florida man who calls himself "The Haligator" is facing charges for swimming with alligators.

Hal Kreitman, a Miami Beach former chiropractor recently dubbed "The Alligator Whisperer," is accused of violating state wildlife conservation laws.

Kreitman was arrested this week in an undercover sting conducted by Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers. Kreitman, officers say, charged people to go on his wildlife excursions. On those trips, he allegedly swam and interacted with the alligators, violating wildlife and conservation laws.

Kreitman is out on $2,500 bail. He denies any wrongdoing.
