Girl made up story about attack in Hinsdale, police say

HINSDALE, Ill. (WLS) -- Hinsdale police said that a teen girl who said she was attacked by an unknown man earlier this week made the story up.

Police don't know why she did it. She originally told police a man assaulted her near Clay and Hinsdale Avenue on Monday afternoon.

There's no word if the teen will face charges.
