2 charged with severe beating of homeless woman in Gold Coast hotel

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two people are charged with severely beating a homeless woman in a Gold Coast hotel.

Sharese Gamble and Adrian Griffin both appeared in court Saturday. Prosecutors say they punched and kicked a woman as she tried to flee into the Intercontinental Hotel lobby around 2:25 a.m. Friday.

Investigators say the victim will require surgery.

Gamble and Griffin are now being held on $750,000 bail.
