Loaded firearm found at Midway Airport, man arrested

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was arrested after a loaded firearm was found in his carry-on luggage at Midway Airport Tuesday morning, TSA officials said.

The man was planning on traveling from Midway to Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix, Ariz.

TSA officials say passengers may transport an unloaded firearm in checked luggage if it is declared to the airline, unloaded, and placed in a locked, hard-sided container.
