Series of headstone plaque thefts reported in northwest Indiana town

DEMOTTE, Ind. (WLS) -- Some families in a northwest Indiana town are outraged over the thefts of several headstone plaques.

Police in Demotte say three veterans' plaques are missing from the town's cemetery. Another 12 headstones are damaged.

Police believe thieves may be targeting the plaques for scrap metal.
