'Texting neck' causing physical pain for some

Texting is causing physical pain for some; doctors have diagnosed it as "texting neck" and say young people are most at-risk.

The problem is looking down at your phone for hours at a time. Doctors say this is damaging the curve of your neck, which could cause long-term problems.

"Tension across the shoulders, generalized neck pain, migraines," said Dr. Chad Cotter, HealthSource chiropractic. "It can even be numbness and tingling down the arms that we're seeing in high schoolers. It's alarming. It's setting those kids up to have major problems as adults."

Experts say to hold your phone at a 90-degree angle and to make sure you are stretching and doing exercises to prevent damage.
