CHICAGO (WLS) -- Humboldt Park Beach, which is Chicago's only inland beach, reopened on Saturday.
The city closed the beach last year for a redevelopment project.
Saturday's reopening celebration included music, art and dancing.
The beach will be cleaner and more environmentally friendly, according to the Chicago Park District.
The city's lakefront beaches will close after Labor Day, but Humboldt Park Beach will stay open.
