Small plane found floating in Illinois River at Starved Rock

STARVED ROCK STATE PARK, Ill. (WLS) -- An ultralight plane was found floating in the Illinois River at Starved Rock State Park Wednesday afternoon.

At first, authorities thought the plane had crashed.

It turns out the pilot tied the plane at the boat launch then left. Somehow the plane floated away and headed down the river.

No one was hurt.
