ITT Technical Institute officially closes

Dick Durbin and 22 other U.S. senators are asking the Department of Education to help students at the now closed ITT Technical Institute.

The for-profit college officially ended operations Friday at 130 campuses in 49 states.

The senators want the federal government to help former students with debt relief.

ITT had about 35,000 students and 8,000 employees.
