CHICAGO (WLS) -- Hundreds of families took part in the 16th annual Chicago Kids and Kites Festival on Saturday, May 3.

The city provides free kite kits for children to build, decorate and then fly. Some families also bring their own unique kites for the festival.

It's held every year on Cricket Hill in Lincoln Park.
