Burglars targeting businesses in Lakeview, Lincoln Park, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are warning businesses to be on alert after a string of overnight burglaries in the Lakeview and Lincoln Park neighborhoods.

Police said four burglaries were reported at businesses on Clark and Broadway between Irving Park Road and Wrightwood Avenue. The first burglary was 12 days ago and the most recent was Thursday morning.

In each case, the burglar shattered the front window to get in, police said.
