Loaded gun found in carry-on at Midway

CHICAGO -- Kevin Reed, 28, of Naperville is charged with one felony count of attempting to board an aircraft with a weapon after TSA agents found a loaded .38 caliber gun inside his carry-on luggage at Midway International Airport, officials said.

Reed, who was flying from Chicago's MDW to Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW), was arrested by Chicago Police after TSA agents discovered the gun on January 13, 2015.

The Taurus Titan was the first firearm discovered this year, TSA officials said. In 2014, six firearms were found at Midway.
