Man shot in the face in Gresham, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man is in serious condition after being shot in the face in the city's Gresham neighborhood, police said.

The 57-year-old man was shot around 8:40 a.m. in the 8200-block of South Emerald Avenue, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital.

No other details have been released.
