Kendall County Jail inmate charged in murder for hire plot

KENDALL COUNTY, Ill. (WLS) -- An inmate in the Kendall County Jail has been charged with soliciting the murder of an acquaintance, police said.

Detectives began investigation on July 6, 2015 after receiving information on the alleged murder for hire plot.

Daniel E. Perkins, 40, was charged on March 8 with solicitation of murder for hire, solicitation of murder, and conspiracy to commit witness intimidation. His bond was set at $1.5 million.
